"Five Proofs of Our Lord's Deity"

Mark 6:45-52; Matthew 14:22-33

With divine precision Jesus created just enough food for the massive crowd to be satisfied and the leftovers filled exactly 12 baskets, one for each Apostle. The visible magnitude and the Supernatural display dramatically demonstrated both the power and the compassion the Son of God had for humanity. These divine attributes continually characterized the life and ministry of our Lord.

After everything He had done and everything the Apostles had been empowered to do, we read in Mark 6:52 that Jesus allowed them to get into this storm on the sea, yet again, because: "They had not understood about the loaves, because their heart was hardened." I challenge you to hold onto your faith even when things don't make sense. In fact. that is when we need our faith the greatest.

The height of this passage is found in the fact that after Jesus calmed the storm, and that they worshiped the Lord and said: " Truly you are the Son of God".

Our challenge is to not lose sight of that reality in the storm and not just proclaim it after everything has calmed down.
