"The Exclusivity of the Gospel"

Mark 2: 18-22

This week we will see how Jesus dealt with the issue of His Presence with them as the God-Man.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His Glory as of the only Begotten of the Father, full of Grace and Truth."

(John 1:1; 14)

Some came asking Jesus about why His Disciples didn't Fast as they did. His answer was stunning. Since God is with them in person they have no need to seek Him through fasting, When I depart they will, He explained. Indeed, we read in multiple places in Acts that after Jesus ascended, His Disciples did seek God through fasting.

The lesson for us is simple: Once we have experienced the transforming power of Christ in our lives, we have no reason to retreat to old ways.

He is with us!!!!
