"Shoe Leather Faith"

I Thessalonians 4:9-12

The Apostle Paul sent young Timothy to the Church he started in Thessalonica to encourage the many young converts there. They had fallen under severe persecution from both the Jews and the Greeks. When he returned to Paul his report was mixed. Paul's ongoing concern inspired this letter. He encouraged his readers to excel in their faith, to increase in their love for one another, to rejoice in the gift of salvation they had received and to give thanks always.

The theme of Christ second Advent runs throughout the letter which should always give us hope and comfort. Whatever the depths of the Christians hardship it will conclude with great victory whether in the rapture or in death. Believers Win!!!! The end has been written and Heaven awaits every Child of God by faith in the Savior who bore our sins in His Body on the cross. Their struggle seemed to be: "Okay, what do we do while we wait?"

The Persecuted Church is growing daily and many of you may feel you are there already. Just know that His Power and Protection is here for you through His indwelling Holy Spirit that will not leave you nor forsake you. Head down and eyes up. Remember that God knows all.
