John 15

"Purpose of Revival"

The Bible reveals to us the formula for living out our best life. It is a life designed to be lived at the very highest level possible. Jesus called this life, "Abundant Life," Charles Stanley called it, "The Wonderful Spirit Filled Life." It is an extension of the eternal life that we receive the instant we put our faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and our Lord.

This joyous and full life is only possible for those in Christ. It is a life directly linked to bearing spiritual fruit. Abiding in Christ is the ultimate human condition required to produce good things for God's Glory and the edification of our fellow man and we know we can do nothing without Christ, our Head, that has any lasting value.

A spirit of revival in our hearts rekindles the desire and willingness to be shaped, prepared and pruned as to optimize our capacity to bear Kingdom Fruit.

We will study and see many references in John 15 as well as I John how, why and the result of abiding in Christ.

Abide means to remain, stay with, or be bound to. How strong is your bond with your Lord?

I know of no subject I have addressed more in my ministry than this one. God created us for this purpose. Christ died to once again make it possible. Having been born again, we have been reconciled, adopted, chosen and accepted in Him. Our position allows for a dynamic, flourishing and growing relationship that will enable us to be productive. Do you know of anything most people want more than to be happy? Do you know of anything that causes us to have the euphoria of happiness more than feeling of being productive?

The source of our joy is Christ but the feeling of fulfillment comes from living up to our potential and thus making a difference in this world. We should never let anything or anyone prevent or pervert this from occurring.

Revival brings Abiding and Abiding brings Joy, but it is all connected to bearing fruit for God.

These are all gifts of God that reflects on the Goodness of God. I pray that His Goodness will motivate us to let Him work in us daily.

In Christ,

Pastor Todd
