Philippians 2:12-16

"Results of Revival"

We must desire to experience a spiritual renewal from time to time so we can abide with Christ on a deeper, more intimate level. We lust after that and those whom we love. We hunger for their presence, their embrace, their fellowship. We say we love God but our desire for Him often fades. Revival is about rekindling that relationship. When it is, then we will be more obedient to Him, which will enable us to bear spiritual fruit for His Glory and the good of our fellow man, as well as ourselves. Everyone wants to be happy. Very little in life makes us feel more fulfilled and satisfied than being productive. Our spiritual productivity is based on our level of obedience to Christ.

Obedience is the very best way to show what you believe. Belief always affects behavior. Everyone lives their beliefs out daily. They form our reality. They determine where we will put our energy and effort. Our beliefs shape what and whom we will be obedient to practically. What does this reality look like for you when no one you care about, respect, or fear is around? Are you as obedient to the Word, Way, Will and Spirit of God in private as you are in public and in the world as you are with your church family?

The Apostle Paul loved the church at Philippi and took great joy in them. We believe this was the case because he heard that they were more obedient to the things he taught them in his absence than they were in his presence (Philippians 2:12).

From verses 12-16 we will see:

1) That we have a purpose to achieve

2) That we have a power to receive

3) That we have a promise to believe

In Christ,
