To Speak or Not to Speak

In our text Jesus encounters a deaf and mute man who was brought to Him for healing. His friends were made up of idol worshipers who were Gentile Pagans but they understood that Jesus had powers that their (false) gods did not. Their gods could not act because they were inanimate objects made by men. Sadly, we have no record of them coming to faith in Christ but knew where to turn to when in need. The man who was healed, however, could not stop praising the Lord even under command by the Lord to stop. Before Jesus healed him he couldn't speak. After Jesus healed him no one could stop him from speaking. I would to God that our excitement for the Lord would be uncontainable and would inspire us to share our faith with everyone we meet especially with our loved ones.
